INDIANA ‘ Rep. Tiny Adams, D-Muncie, said he would propose a bill to make newspaper theft a misdemeanor in the future, despite the bill’s failure this spring in the state House of Representatives. If the bill does pass, those who steal free or paid newspapers could be jailed for up to 60 days and be required to pay up to $500.
